COT without the wing?

Postby smalltime » Mon Jan 11, 2010 5:40 pm

Last night after the Supercross race, there was a report on Speed about NASFARCE going back to the spoiler.

the wing is fine. While not in line with traditional NASCAR it make it look almost like a 'modern' racecar. All the problem attributed to it are bogus, except visability, and I don't think they could see out the back before either.

I think the final decision comes on the 21st.

I hope they ditch that stupid park bench. And it isn't all bogus about the problems. Cars flying through the air when they get turned around isn't a good thing. That wasn't so much a problem with the spoilers.
I am concerned about the Earth so I drive a hybrid........my car burns gas and rubber.

I still think the whole COT idea sucks.

I will have to agree Zipp.

I have to say that the older I get, the more I enjoy Motocross (supercross) racing. I have NEVER watched a super cross race that ended in dissapointment.
I know it's a young man's game, but it's still rider's game. If you can't ride, you ain't goin' to the front.

The original flying car was 86 Bobby Allison, it had a spoiler.
I will insist that the wing doesn't cause cars to fly more than spoilers. To do that the car would have to be upside down to cause 'wing' lift. A spoiler is solid from bumper to spoiler edge to build up a wall of air to a backwards car. I wish Ryan Newman would/could have been more specific and public about the changes and problems with the COT he had a couple months ago.
The COT does suck, but so did the twisted warped cars they were running the previous several years.
Good thing the Australian V-8 Supercar season starts the week after Daytona. www.v8supercars.com.au
